2016 will mark my 30th year of active practice in the legal profession.

 

A graduate of The University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in 1980, I received my Juris Doctorate from The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1985.


I was first admitted to practice by the bar of the State of New York in February of 1986, and was thereafter admitted to the bars of the United States District Court and Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York in 1988, and the bars of the United States District Court and Bankruptcy Court in 1992.

 

My primary practice areas include the representation of individuals and lenders in residential real property transactions, real property titles and claim litigation, zoning and land use, and consumer warranty and finance litigation.  For many years I have proudly served as Examining Counsel for Stewart Title, Chicago Title, and Allied American Title Insurance Companies.I 

I am proud to be part of the legal team at Riehlman Shafer & Shafer, a general practice law firm with offices in the Town of Tully and in downtown Cortland.
